What a session. I wasn't expecting quite that much wind, but when I got there it was a good 20 knots so I rigged my 5m and my wave board. One run out through the surf and I knew I should have rigged my 4.5m really, but I coudn't be bothered to re-rig so just pulled on some more outhaul and hung on. You do need to be really well-powered up in big onshore days at the Golf Course Car Park anyway.

The sun was shining, there were some mean old waves out there and no-one around. I sailed out to the big bouy on the bar a few times and had an excellent session weaving in and out of the swells to get out the back, then outrunning massive walls of whitewater on the way back in. Jumping was OK but not great as the wind was a little too onshore, but it was fun riding the big swells back in and going for backside aerial of the lips off the smaller waves on the inside.

Lets hope it does the same tomorrow!!!
